Annual Retreat

The Starr Cancer Consortium Retreat is a venue for presentation and discussion of SCC-funded projects.  The next Retreat will be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on April 29th - April 30th, 2019.  

Each SCC funded project's PI and Co-PI(s) are required to attend the annual Starr Cancer Consortium Retreat.  All other attendees are by invitation only.


Attendance is by invitation only.


Registration is required for all attendees and must be completed by March 27, 2019.

The SCC will provide housing for Retreat attendees for one night only (check in Monday, April 29th; check out Tuesday, April 30th).  Attendees should indicate on the registration form if they require overnight housing.  The program runs late the first day. Participants not local to Cold Spring Harbor are strongly recommended to register for housing.  (Please note, attendees from CSHL will not be provided with overnight housing.)

Tenth and Eleventh Grant Competition projects are required to give a platform presentation.

Twelfth Grant Competition projects are required to give a poster.

All attendees are encouraged to present posters of their SCC-funded work.

Information on travel options to CSHL are available here.

Retreat attendees should make their own travel arrangements. Attendees will be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses.

Attendees traveling from New York City should take the Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station to Syosset Station.  Shuttle service between Syosset Station and CSHL will be provided. 

The SCC will reimburse economy airfare, train fare, and/or ground transportation travel costs for out of town attendees. 

Note: Available parking is limited at CSHL.
