Annual Retreat

The Starr Cancer Consortium Retreat is a venue for presentation and discussion of SCC-funded projects.  The next Retreat will be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on May 1-2, 2017.  

 
Each SCC funded project's PI and Co-PI(s) are required to attend the annual Starr Cancer Consortium Retreat.  All other attendees are by invitation only.

Attendance is by invitation only.

Registration

Registration is required for all attendees and must be completed by March 27, 2017.

Housing

The SCC will provide housing for Retreat attendees for one night only (check in Monday, May 1st; check out Tuesday, May 2nd).  Attendees should indicate on the registration form if they require overnight housing.  The program runs late the first day. Participants not local to Cold Spring Harbor are strongly recommended to register for housing.  (Please note, attendees from CSHL will not be provided with overnight housing.)

Travel

Information on travel options to CSHL are available here.

Retreat attendees should make their own travel arrangements.

Attendees traveling from New York City should take the Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station to Syosset Station.  A shuttle service to and from Syosset Station and CSHL will be provided. 

The SCC will reimburse economy airfare, train fare, and/or ground transportation travel costs for out of town attendees. 

Note: Available parking is limited at CSHL.

Presentation Instructions 

Eighth and Ninth Grant Competition projects are required to give a platform presentation.

Tenth Grant Competition projects are required to give a poster. However, all attendees are encouraged to present posters on their SCC-funded work.
